I was afraid to tell people about you because I was afraid I'd jinx us.

We had one conversation and I knew you were something special. I should've acted instantly but I waited.

I waited until you were in California before I talked to you. We talked and talked and I realized more and more that I could be myself in each conversation. I think the fact you were going to be going away made it easier to be myself. I wasn't afraid I'd scare you away because you were already on your way out.

I wish I had been crazy enough to drive up to Chicago when you were there. If I had known how much you liked me from the get go I probably would have. These are the things you don't know unless you ask.

Thankfully we kept talking and I asked you. Turns out there was something between us for a while. When I started to like you I knew that the distance wasn't going to be an issue. I knew that waiting wasn't going to be a problem either.

I want nothing more than you and I'm willing to go to any lengths to see your face again. You mean the world to me and we've yet to share an embrace. I know that when I see you my heart is going to explode and I'll be the happiest I've been in my life.

I say this because I've been walking this road alone for a long time, hoping I'd find someone that would complement me and help me move forward. I thought I had found it before but I know now that they were all just steps to you.

They made me realize what I need and what I want. I want someone that I can truly be myself around. That I don't have to change for unless it's for my benefit. Someone that makes me feel motivated to succeed and drives me to finish my goals.

You might not say words to that end but your involvement in my life has definitely helped me. The prospect of seeing you has made me do things I should have done over a year ago.

I'm moving forward with my writing because of you. I got my passport and plan to travel because of you. I wake up and go to bed not dreading my life because of you. You add so much to my life and I know you will only add more once we are in each other's arms.

This waiting is making my affection for you grow and grow. I know without a shadow of a doubt that when I see you I will shower you with my affection.

I can't wait to see your smile and hear your voice and kiss your lips. I want to be close with you and I know you feel the same.
