We often hear "Why can't you change?" "People don't change." "If only they'd change." "Don't they realize they need to change?"
I used to believe in the thought that if you needed to change you could force it. It only made sense, make the decision to change and then do it. What's so hard about that?
But time and time again, I've expected changes in others and saw nothing.
Then I realized through my own life of changes, that we can only change our nature if change is in our nature.
If we don't have the capacity to change then we won't change, even if we realize we need to.
You might see a vice, or a habit, or a state of mind you wish to change. If you don't possess the capacity for change in your mind then you never will.
Some people do, some people don't. Those burdened with the inability are doomed to repeat the same mistakes.
